"E" is for Eagle" ("Watching")

This is from the ABC Animals series that I started when my grandson was just 2 - great fun!

While living in Calgary, I spent many hours taking photos of the wonderful animals at the Calgary Zoo. This more gestural style is what I try for with animals - keeping it loose, so that the work has a sense of aliveness. Hopefully, this feels like a fleeting moment, right before she turns her head. Not overpainting is always a challenge.
